strange but for my users on another remote site when they are using the erp application through Terminal svc, they cannot see and print to the local printer. what i have to do is to setup the printer with the respective ipaddress of the client’s pc. then they can see and print to the local printer.

tried this one but then realize that the drives will disappears after sometime and needs to run the script again to get the drive back.

is there a way .. via the script to make the connection persistent?

Also I would like to know how i can do a prefix drive letter to a particular shared drive for example : f: \server1share where f: cannot be replaced by any other drive letters.?

perhaps you would like to try net use #: \xxxxx /persistent command.

check on the command usage if you’re not sure. I might make a spelling mistake or so ..

for what im doing in the company. I have the printer installed on the user end. then from the terminal server, I add in the user’s printer and sets the ip address of the user PC. it’s sort of a loop.

    hi ahinson,

thanks for your reply. but can you advise on the logon scripts which you’ve mentioned? my purpose is just to standardize the drives letters used for my users. There’s just too much different alphabets pointing to the same shared drives. Just wants to use 1 drive letter strictly for that particular shared drive. Hope you can help.

err… just to confirm that this can be done on the server end and client drive mapping is strictly the same as given on the server :?
