Try MalWareBytes, but if in any doubt, backup your data, format and rebuild

Backups of DATA should not be infected, but obviously you put AV measures in place before restoring them, so the files can be scanned and cleaned while they are being replaced.

Although your computer is still infected with whatever malware it is, and it might be intelligent enough to re-enable itself.

Now it is disabled, do multiple security scans until you are sure it is gone

Re: Win vista start up files problem

There are several free malware removal forums where qualified professionals walk you through disinfecting your machine.

However, they all say that you cannot ever be 100% certain that an infection has been completely removed.

Your machine is still infected – get rid of the infection.
