    Thanks friend!

But i dont want my own CA; i want to buy certificate from the external CA like Verisign or Rapidssl; kindly suggest me in this scenerio, a single certificate will be fine for both rpc over https & VPN (L2TP over IPsec ).

    Thanks

    Re: Vpn Ssl

Just buy a certificate. The fact that you want to do VPN has nothing to do with it. RPC over HTTPS doesn’t require a VPN – that is the entire point of the feature.

SSL certificates are one and the same. If you want to use SSL for VPN on the same server then after installing the certificate for IIS, add the certificate to the VPN application. To ensure the certificate is accepted by the clients when connected you will have to ensure that the common name on the certificate is the same name that the users are entering for the host that they want to connect to.

    Simon.
