    Hello,

I’ve a technical issue of not being able to ping a VPC hosted on XP PC from neighbor PCs. The funny thing is that I can see/ping the hosting machine perfectly from different subsets.

    Here below is more details
    XP Host PC is 10.33.17.101
XP Virtual Server is 10.33.17.162 < <–Static IP
All PCs from 10.33.17.* can ping the VPC and the Host.
All PCs from 10.33.19.* can ping the host
All PCs from 10.33.19.* can NOT ping the VPC

    I tried all possible scenarios
1.Turning off the firewall and antivirus
2.Configuring the network to point to same gateway
3.Get a permanent permissions from Security dept.

Yet I was not able to figure out what went wrong.

    Thanks

I am using Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 (version 6)

The network is configured in the VPC to use the same Ethernet Network Card. And the following IP configurations

    Control Panel->Network Connections-> Local Area connection -> Properties-> IP V4 :
    IP address : 10.33.17.162
    Subnet MAsk : 255.255.255.0
    Default GateWay: 10.33.17.254

There is no filtering or firewalls.
