    Hi,

We have some computers in our office. Calling computer’s folder from other computer using Computer ip address/hostname usually used to ask for username and password. But now instead we are getting Guest as username. As we have not set any password for Guest account, we are not able to access other computer folders.
Everything was working fine few days before.

    Regards,
    Anish

    What OS are the clients?
Are they in a domain or workgroup?
What has changed in the last few days? (updates?)

    Re: Unable to access folders

Some computers are win xp and some win 7. Doesn’t seem to take place any change recently. The problem is not with every computer.

    The machines are in workgroup.

    Regards,
    Anish

What happens if you type in the user name and password that you used to use?

initaily it used to ask for username and password. Now, the username comes as guest by default(greyed one).

Go into control panel — users and find the option to delete saved credentials

I’d like to know if this was ever resolved, and what the issue actually was. Would the OP provide an update, please?
