I need to run a script to make some changes on a user system. The current local profile does not allow the user to make these changes. So I need to add some code to the script that uses the admin username and password so the changes can be made.

why not running the script as a startup script.

anyway, runas is also scriptable or you can use NTrights

Good question. We have 20 remote users that use Exchange OWA. They are traveling and fon’t really log into the domain. I need to make changes and wanted to send the script via email or dsk. The local profile does not allow the changes so I need to first add a snippet of code that uses the admin password of the local administrator.

    Thanks for response,

    Ron,

Take a look at CPAU utility here: http://www.joeware.net/win32/index.html

You can write a script that needs admin permissions and spawn the job in admin context without revealing the user/password in clear text.
