How can I clean up my System Tray’s icon Notification/Hide customization menu? It’s showing programs I don’t use–even programs which are no longer on my system! And sometimes programs appear twice. I’d like to remove everything that is not running.

on mine, I’ve got a little “up arrow” button
if I click on that, it upsizes a little window, that has “customise” at the bottom

    a simpler way:
Control panel > Notification Area Icons

if you have the “category” functions enabled, it’s under control panel > appearance and personalization > task bar and starrt menu > customize icons on the taskbar
