    Hi All,

I am going slightly mad here.
At least 10 times a day I get the following errors on 1 of my XP workstations :

    Application log.
    Source : Userenv
    Event ID : 1030
Windows cannot query for the list of Group Policy objects. A message that describes the reason for this was previously logged by the policy engine.

    System log.
    Source : LSASRV
    Event ID : 40961
The Security System could not establish a secured connection with the server ldap/myserver.mydomain.local/[email protected] No authentication protocol was available.

I have tried many things I read at eventid.net, I even reinstalled the PC and the errors came back after 3 days.

Does anybody have any idea ?

    O, questions:
Is your reverse DNS correct, Is this PC in the same OU as all the others (even same physical location), any relevant logs on the DC, if you remove the DNS entries and re-register the PC does it all show correct. Is this PC used differently to others, have different software etc.

The reverse DNS works perfectly, the defaults as SBS 2003 has set them up.
If that was the problem, my guess is that all PC’s should have this issue.

All machines are in 1 room, connected with 1 switch.
    All hardware is different though.

I have removed all DNS entries and the computer object and reinstalled the PC and added it to the domain.
    Problem came back.

The software on this PC is only Office 2003 and VMWare Server.

    Thanks for your response.
