I have a corrupt registry on C of my Hyper-V host. The VM is on the D drive. I’m not deleting anything off of that. My question is this, do I need to copy anything out of the program fileshyper-v folder or any other folder before I blow out the C drive?
Yeah, that’s what I ended up doing. Just exported the VM to a USB hard drive, blew out C, reinstalled windows and Hyper-V and then pointed Hyper-V to the Data drive where the original VM was located. It picked back up and worked like a charm.
