Hello and thank you very much for reading,

I think our LAN has been compromised, I don’t know why or how but since two weeks ago several computers (15 out of 25) randomly restart or shut down with no previous notice. In one of the servers we saw a pop-up window saying “HELLO” in chinese. It may sound funny but I’m very worried :(.

Windows update is up to date, we have Fortigate 90E with all services activated, we have McAfee in all clients… I installed Malwarebytes to see if it find something but no luck. We didn’t find anything in the firewall logs.

I need advice on what to do, any help would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks a lot!

    Jud

Get a professional in if you are concerned. They will be able to assess your network quite quickly. It will cost you, but you will have peace of mind.

I think you are facing a very serious problem. Good to know you care a lot about your systems. But this protection are not enough to be in a safe place. You should have appointed a better IT expert earlier. But don’t worry, you just get an expert help. I prefer network support Boca Raton (https://www.thecompulab.com/computer-networking-services-boca-raton/) but you can choose your trusted partner. And take some quick actions. Hope my advice will help you.
