Company A bought company B. There is a need that all the users from Company B will have an email of comapny-a.com but will continue to use thier own domain.

What is the best method to do so?

the environments are similar – 2008 domain and forest, exchange 2010.

    Thanks

You can create user accounts and mailboxes in company B for them that they can use for email or you can create linked mailboxes in company B that they can use for email. In either case you’ll add the company A domain to your Accepted Domains and E-mail Address Policy.

All the users of company B use exchange on company B domain. So is there a way where they will continue and use thier own mailboxes but the mail address will change? I understand that linked mailboxes are used in an exchange resource forest and that there is one mailbox per user.

There is no particular reason you could not create a split domain so Company B handles some of Company A’s addresses – the A server would forward emails to B:
    https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=exchange+2010+split+domain&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en-GB:IE-SearchBox&ie=&oe=&gfe_rd=cr&ei=0KxcU7TSO4HY8geCsYGYBQ

Alternatively create mailboxes in A for B users and forward to their Company B address (replies would then come from B)
