    Hello

I’ve got some problems while managing windows 2008 server core.
I’ve installed a fresh copy, configured IP address, GW, some firewall settings via netsh.
Also i’ve allowed access to logical disk management service:

netsh advfirewall firewall set rule group=”Remote Volume Management” new enable=yes
    and started it:
    net start vds

But i still get Access Denied error while trying to use Disk Management from Computer Management. Other things like managing services, viewing event logs works just fine. I’ve tried from Windows Vista and Windows 2003 server with no luck.

    Pls Help.

You could use the DiskPart.exe command instead of the Disk Management console to manage disks and partitions.
