Windows Server 2016, Windows Server Backup has been performing backups of the server’s C drive to a much larger RAID 1 array, however it is storing “backup copies” which are filling up the array How can I delete these copies and prevent them from being saved in the future? They don’t seem to be visible or hidden files in the array. I only need the most recent backup.

How are the backups being made – Windows Server Backup or some 3rd party tool?

If the built in backup, it uses VHD and differencing AVHD files, so be careful about deleting older files in case it leaves you with an incomplete set of backups without enough data to recover
