Has anyone an idea why the F 5 refresh fails to work on http://www.sigord.co.uk/HERCsite/Home.html and still shows an earlier versions instead of the new version at http://herc-hastings.org.uk/ please.

Refresh just pulls in another copy of the data at the URL given – it will not change the URL
You would need a redirect so requests to the old URL are sent to the new one – normally done through the web server, and definitely not the browser

As you can see I updated the page but eve by press f 5 on any browser it still shows the old page not the new one.

Gordon, can you explain more clearly
When I check the two separate links, they appear identical.

Your original question appears to ask why you don’t jump from one URL to the other when you refresh the sigord one. If that isn’t the question, please explain

Sounds like you want to set up web redirection? You can usually do this by logging into the registrar that hosts the old site and using their forwarding tools to point the old site to the IP address of the new site.
