I have enable the policies for; Prohibit access to properties of a LAN connection – enabled Enable Windows 2000 Network Connections settings for Administrators – enabled as the latter suggests, its for Windows 2000, so i guess it does not work with Win 7 for a local Admin? i’m using Group policies on a Windows 2008 R2 Server. can anyone confirm if its possible or not to block access to the LAN properties for a Local Admin. Kind Regards  Mat. tehcamelModerator Jul 23, 2012 at 1:21 am #358965 Re: Disable LAN Properties for Local Admins. but.. you’d be destroying access to the lan properties for everyone then. you have to be a local administrator to administer the local network device on a computer. Even a “domain administrator” is added to the local administrators group.. ikonMember Jul 30, 2012 at 9:46 am #354283 Re: Disable LAN Properties for Local Admins. Exactly what i’m trying to do, some components of Visual Studio do not work as Power Users, so i need to be able to disable them from changing IP to static. but i see your point and am aware of it. Thanks. Author Posts Viewing 3 posts - 1 through 3 (of 3 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
