    Hi all,
I have a new HP Quad core Q6700, 4gig ram running Vista 64 Home Prem. I have VMware 6.04 and a XP Pro guest working great. I tried to install a Vista 64 Enterprise guest but I get the message

“You have configured this virtual machine to use a 64-bit guest operating system. However, this host’s CPU is not capable of running 64-bit virtual machines or this virtual machine has 64-bit support disabled.
For more detailed information, see http://www.vmware.com/info?id=152

My processor is 64bit compatible and my host os is 64 bit….any ideas?

    thanks

Go into your bios and check if support of EM64T and Intel VT is enabled or not. If disabled, enable them and try again.
Basically, your motherboard needs to support 64bit technology and virtualization along with your CPU.
