    pleas help me on operating telnet command,
    i need to now how to contact the first step
    like “

    /
    start *
    run *
    cmd *
    [url]telnet://8bit.8bit.8bit.8bit[/url]. (ip nomber)
    or something like this. !!!
    pleas write me in hebrow or english

    from memory (it’s been over 8 months since I touched a Cisco), you connect via Telnet.

    telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

    It should then come up with a prompt asking you for your login name and password, at this point consult the manual for the defaults.

    If you have not previously configured the router, the IP could be 10.0.0.1 (this was what my old Cisco PIX firewall came configured as).

    By The Way, what Cisco hardware are you attempting to configure, and I will be able to do some research into this hardware and may be able to offer better help in the future.

    also you can try connecting via hyperterminal with the Blue console cable…
    then you will connect direcly to the console..

    anyway:
    syntax of telnet is:
    telnet space host space portnumber (is nessesary)
