    Hi Dear,

    I want to change computer’s name remotely via using command promt. i have secure VPN network in my organaization on workgroup.

    Is there any way like PSEXEC tools? as i am using this tool to change system IP/DNS remotely from my computer to whole network one by one.

    I tried netdom.exe to change computer name remotely but i failed to understand it’s commands.

    kindly advice me the simple way to change computer names remotely without intrupting user(backEnd)

    Can you post the syntax you used with netdom?
    If you want to use Psexec you need to make sure the netdom.exe is present on the remote machines.
    You could try WMIC or any VBS scripts.
    Also as far as renaming the computer is concerned there will be some sort of disruption for the logged on user as you’ll have to restart the machine!
