I was logged into our Exchange server this morning, and i saw that we only had 63gb avilable of 500gb on the C Drive of our exchange server. We have the D Drive for all our databases – but the C Drive is where the OS and Exchange program is installed.

With the use of SizeExplorerPro, we have found the large files, and it seems they are in logs.

A quick little summary of where we are finding these are below.
    – \W3SVC2 – 125 GB
    – \W3SVC1 – 100 GB
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\Logging\
    – \Logging – 83 GB
    – \Mailbox – 52 GB

I was wondering if there is a way to clean this up?
Will these clear the older logs out when the drive fills up?

I want to know what issues I will be running into, and how to prevent them!

When was the last time you backed up your exchange server? The backup should be exchange aware so it can flush the logs.

There is also this which may help alleviate some of the logs but please heed the warnings and make sure the script suits your environment.
