    our general counsel asked me if there was any way to stealthily get data off of one of our employees macbook. (ethical debates aside, he is the general counsel, and knows what’s legal. he must have his reasons).

    this macbook sits on our domain. and even though it shows in ad, i do not believe it was ever put on the domain in its directory services. it’s osx 10.5.8.

    so, anyone know of anything, even 3rd party?

    OSX10 is a linux-based environment.

    So there’s not really such a thing as an Admin share.
    You’ll probably find it much harder to stealthily retreive data from this device than a windows device
