Anything I need to know about adding a 2003 server as domain controller with an existing 2008 DC?

    Here are the details:

network was: 2 x win 2000 servers, only one of the win2k servers was a DC.

both the win2k servers have been replaced by a single 2008 server which has been promoted to an AD server. The win2k DC has been demoted and both win2k servers have been removed the network.
    this leaves only 1 DC…
I am bringing in a 2k3 server due to having an app that is incompatible with 2008 and plan on promoting it to a DC.

The forest functional level is still at windows 2000 native as I did not want to change it until I knew what we were going to do for a second dc.

if your forest and domain functional levels are still at 2000 native, then you should be ok to bring a 2003 domain controller in, and you could even increase it to 2003 native mode I beleive.

However – if you have already bumped it up to 2008 native, your SOL
