  • Update SQL Lite database from vbscript

    Hello,

I need to modify a value in a SQL database table from a VBScript, but i don't know if this can be done without installing a 3rd party sql editor.

The SQL command is the following:
    Code:
Update DUTransaction Set commited = 1 where commited = 0
And the database file is InstallManifest.sqlite

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks

You should be able to invoke the CLI from VBS. https://sqlite.org/cli.html

      Not working as mentioned there.
From CMD "sqlite3" or "sqlite3.exe" is unrecognized command. I think i might be missing a 3rd party application.

Try specifying the full path to the exe or you can modify the %path% variable to include the directory sqlite3.exe is in.

Don't you have to install something to have that exe on the machine? Because i can't find it on a normal W7 machine.

Yes, you would need to install it before you can use it.

So there is no way of doing this without installing a 3rd party application?

As a bare minimum you will need to install the SQL Lite CMD line tool (appears - from a quick look - to come with the SQL Lite install)
