  • Windows Server 2008 R2, Exchange Server 2010 and PowerShell

    Dear all,
I installed Windows Server 2008 R2 and Exchange Server 2010 on it without any error.
But When I tried to create mail box from power shell, it doesn't recognize many cmdlets.
What I suspected is that when i run "Import-Module ServerManager", it finished very very quickly without any error.
Can any one help me? Please.
I just want to know how to trouble shoot in power shell to work properley.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Thu Ya

Are you running Powershell or the "Exchange Management Shell"

If the former it will need the Exchange commandlets to be registered

      Hi Ossian,
      Thanks for your help.
I run power shell, not Exchange Management Shell.
What I need to do Exchange cmdlets to be registered?

      Thanks

I think it is the import-module cmdlet -- please use for the exact syntax

Re: Windows Server 2008 R2, Exchange Server 2010 and PowerShell

          Hi,

Under E2K7 you can launch Exchange Management Shell like, (i hope it would be same for E2010)

go to start> programfile > microsoft exchange > Exchange management shell

Exchange Management shell would leverage powershell cmdlets.
          Thanks & Regards
