  • PowerShell: Must-learn skill for Windows admins

Nice post by Jeff Hicks (take a bow, Jeff) on the main Petri site:

4 Must-Learn Skills for Windows System Administrators
    https://www.petri.com/4-must-learn-s...administrators

In a nutshell, the four skills that Jeff suggests are:
    1. PowerShell
    2. Desired State Configuration (DSC)
    3. Docker
    4. Microsoft Azure
    Any thoughts on the list?

I would concur that PowerShell has been a "must have" since Server 2008 (or Exchange 2007 if you prefer), and have been hammering that into trainees ever since.

I'm not sure about Docker and Azure - awareness certainly, but I would be interested in comparative statistics of enterprises which have gone over to (the Dark Side of) the Cloud - in the UK it seems not to have had massive takeups
