    MSIA

    Hi!

Microsoft has written a little program called MSIA (for Microsoft Software Inventory Analyzer) that creates a repport with an inventory of all the Microsoft products installed on computers in a Domain or just stand alone ones. This includes the Service Pack installed for the OS and also Office, for instance. You can simply modify the logon script to make it run or just run it from a server (or even a workstation) based for example on IP ranges.

        Hi,

The MSIA tools seems to be a great tool. But it does not scan for other non MS softwares. Is there any to way to modify this script to take the inventory of non MS softwares also. Else pls suggest me some free simple software inventory tool.

        thanx in advance.
