        If you are already connecting through the CMD prompt, the simplest way would be a batch file with the commands you issue manually.

        As requested earlier, some more information about your exact circumstances would help!

          Re: Login to Proxy server

          My main intention is to download latest virus defnitions from
          I have a script which will download the same from
          As I am suppose to passthrough proxy server my script will not work fine becasue it requires authentication.

          So I would like to know how to pass the username and password through batch/script file to accomplish the task.

            What version of SAV are you using?
            SAV has a built in download scheduler where you can enter authentication credentials if necessary though I have never had to resort to that method unless I was brining the updates through the local proxy server.

            Please close your other post on this topic. It is just going to confuse things. Ta.

              I think the first question should be

              What Proxy software are you using????

                Some how I got the script to access FTP through vbscript.
                Following is the script, but my script is unable to retrieve the file names as mentiond in the code.
                May I know what's the problem in the code:

                Dim objFSO, objShell
                Dim strLocalFolderName, strFTPServerName
                Dim strFTPServerFolder

                strLocalFolderName = "c:\thyaga"
                strFTPServerName = ""
                strFTPServerFolder = ""

                Set objShell = CreateObject ("Shell.Application")
                Set objFolder = objShell.Namespace (strFTPServerFolder)
                Set objFSO = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
                Const FILE_NAME = 0

                Wscript.echo objFolder.GetDetailsOf(strFileName, FILE_NAME)
