  • copy file in use file remotely to unc path

    Hi All

I am looking to backup some user files to their home drives

I am testing hobocopy and psexec to acompkish this but no luck so far

I need to do this on the moment as opposed to running log on scripts etc.

I can connect to the remote system with cmd.exe using my admin creds

I realise I must using the command line start the vss service

I cant get hobocopy to work using

    e.g. hobocopy c:\source \\server\user-home-share *.*

I thinnk wdbadmin present by default on windows 7, perhaps this instead is mor epowerful flexible?

    Perhaps there is another way?

Has anyone acheived this & any pointers?

    Thanks for reading

    Confuseis

Should contact the developer in case they need an icon!

Maybe because its free even a hobo can afford it
