    Could someone tell me how to add the following to a Windows 2000 system registry using a .reg file;

    Ports: REG_MULTI_SZ: 30100-30300
    PortsInternetAvailable: REG_SZ: Y
    UseInternetPorts: REG_SZ: Y

    Thanks!

      Re: Reg file

      I did create the file and ran it, ...although it's not entering properly into the registry, ...I believe my scripting syntax is wrong.

      Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

      [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Rpc\Internet]
      "Ports"="REG_MULTI_SZ:30100-30300"
      "PortsInternetAvailable"="REG_SZ:Y"
      "UseInternetPorts"="REG_SZ:Y"

          I don't have a a key internet though, but the value's looks me a little bit weird...

          why not exporting the key on you're machine?

            Re: Reg file

            It should look like this...

            Code:
            Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

            [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Rpc\Internet]
            "Ports"=hex(7):33,00,30,00,31,00,30,00,30,00,2d,00,33,00,30,00,33,00,30,00,30,\
              00,00,00,00,00
            "PortsInternetAvailable"="Y"
            "UseInternetPorts"="Y"
            Remove the extra spaces. The bulletin board adds them.
