Does anyone have a script to install an exe automatically? I'm trying to find a script I can modify to install an exe when a user logins.

      Does the installer require interaction?

If it does not you can simply check to see if a file exists and run the EXE if you cannot find the file.

      Example: (installexe.bat)
      Code:
      If EXIST c:\somefolder\somefile1.exe c:\install\somefile2.exe
You are looking in the folder the installer creates for the actual filename (somefile1), if it does not find the filename you run the installer (somefile2).

      Some thoughts:
If this is a Terminal server (farm) or if you need to install to multiple machines of any kind you should place the installer (and the batch file) in a network folder everyone can access and modify the above line to say:

      Code:

      If EXIST c:\somefolder\somefile1.exe \\server1\netshare\somefile2.exe

Yeah the program I'm trying to install is a program that requires interaction.
Is there a way to automate that?

If the installer loads msiexec.exe (in taskmanager) then Yes maybe it is possible
          else, most likely not.

If not, then you could try ceating a MSI-package by taking a system snapshot before and after the installation on a reference computer and, capture the changes.

We realy need more details about this program you like to install, we just know the installer it is some exe file but that does not say anything. If we know more maybe then we can come up with ideas for scripted workarounds (not recommended though).

But then again - Users should not have permissions to install programs therefore you probably can't use a user logon script at all, can't you use a computer startup script.
