  • Window 7 and batch file trust

I've got a batch file that I want to run the first time a user logs in (it changes the taskbar icons). It starts, but Windows says:

The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?
And the user has to click the Run button.

I'd like to automate this process, hiding any prompt from the user. Is there a way to tell Windows to trust this script?

    Thanks.

is this script running off a network location, or the local filesystem ?

this thread (which a quick google search for "windows batch publisher not found" would have found) describes a pretty similar scenario.

Nope. I changed that gp setting and it appears to have resolved the issue. Too bad you can't tell it to trust individual files.

          Thanks.
