  • New to Scripting - What to use

    Greeting to all -

I need to learn scripting for Server 2003 management. I need to learn automation installations. I have a little background with Basic and VB5. What is the easiest to learn and use scripting language.

Thanks in advance for your help

nothing is really easy but you could have a look at vbs and/or powershell.

As Dumber said, PowerShell is the way the Microsfot seems to be moving for scripted administration. Look into PowerGUI to get you off the ground (and keep you in the air ).

And if you do use PowerGUI, let us know what you think of it.
