  • Power CFG Turn Monitor off

    Hi

    I would like to use the pwoercfg.exe command to create a script to add a new power scheme called "firmscheme"... I would like to have the following settings in the new scheme
    Turn off Monitor - 45
    Turn off Hard Disk - Never
    System Standby - Never
    I would like to apply the script via policy

    Thanks

    Here's a batch file you can use.... but why didn't you take the time to write it yourself?

    Code:
    @echo off

    ::
    ::check to see if firmscheme already exists
    ::
    powercfg /L | find "firmscheme"
    If errorlevel 1 goto CREATE
    Goto EOF

    :CREATE
    powercfg /CREATE firmscheme
    powercfg /CHANGE firmscheme /monitor-timeout-ac 45
    powercfg /CHANGE firmscheme /monitor-timeout-dc 45
    powercfg /CHANGE firmscheme /disk-timeout-ac 0
    powercfg /CHANGE firmscheme /disk-timeout-dc 0
    powercfg /CHANGE firmscheme /standby-timeout-ac 0
    powercfg /CHANGE firmscheme /standby-timeout-dc 0
    powercfg /CHANGE firmscheme /hibernate-timeout-ac 0
    powercfg /CHANGE firmscheme /hibernate-timeout-dc 0
    powercfg /CHANGE firmscheme /processor-throttle-ac none
    powercfg /CHANGE firmscheme /processor-throttle-dc none

    :EOF
    powercfg /SETACTIVE firmscheme
    You can add it as a logon script.
