  • Enabling tool bars in Explorer

    Hi,

    I have installed WDS(windows Desktop search) on my machine and it added a new toolbar entry in Windows explorer list(right click properties::Tool Bars::Windows Desktop search). Now my requirement is to enable/disable it using a script. any one has idea how to do this?

    Re: Enabling tool bars in Explorer

    You can use a Group policy, download the WDS .adm
    http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro...customize.mspx

    if you want to use a script, try to find the values you want to change in oone of these registrykeys;
    WDS Machine policy settings: HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\DesktopSearch
    WDS User policy settings: HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\DesktopSearch

    programmatically perform searches;
