  • Adding Printers by IP Address

I have a network situation where all my printers are networked printers with Static IP addresses. Everytime I build a new computer, I spend about 30 minutes installing the printers using the "add printer" feature. I do have a shared network folder with all the current drivers available, I just don't have the scripting experience to be able to figure out how to do this. Any help, or even if you could just recommend a website that has some code snippets on it, would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, PaulH for that website. I have added the site to my saved links as there is a wealth of knowledge on the site.

Anyway, now I have to dig a little deeper into my scripting abilities as I am quite new to scripting.

        Try Microsoft's Print Migrator 3.1
I'm not sure it works on WinXP, but it's worth a try.
