  • Scripting an email notification

I have a batch script that basically copies some files one night a week to a removable hard drive. I want this script to send me an email once this is done.

Is there any way I can script this into the file ?

    thanks
    Dave

Sure there is a better way but you could script it and use telnet to connect to your internal SMTP server. Give it a try:

I am using bmail (a cute small executable) to send e-mails from batch files.
