  • Need help creating a Clear Temp Script

    Hi all,
I'm looking for help, creating a script that will help me do all the following at once:
    1. Clear the %temp% folder
    2. Clear the cookies folder
    3. Clear the Temporary Internet Files folder
    4. Take the check mark off of Internet Explorer's properties "Enable 3rd Party Software" under the Options menu.

I have limited scripting knowledge so i am asking here for your help,
    thank you.

Here is a simple batch file that answers some of your questions.

    Code:
    @echo off
    cd\
    cls
REM TEMPDEL (or type whatever you want)
    del %windir%\Temp\*.* /S /Q
    del "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\temp\"*.* /Q/S
    del "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\temporary Internet Files\"*.* /Q/S
    Exit

You want it to do all that on the current user or all users on that machine by the way?

Build in some checks before using the script.

Also AFAIK a lot of the IE settings can be changed using the IE administration kit.

Also this looks much better than a deletion script for IE:
