I have a service which I need to automate a reboot on. I plan to do this via a batch file. However I cant appear to get the service name to do this. I opened dos & typed the followwing:

    net services

the service I need isnt listed in here. Does anyone know how I can get the service onto the net services list?

Or is there a way I can reboot the service via a script. This isnt a windows service, it was something we had set up via an external company.

Do you see the service appearing in this list:
    Code:
    sc query | findstr /vbc:" "

      Yeh,

This finds the service, which is:

      SERVICE_NAME: Genius Campaign Upload Service
      DISPLAY_NAME: Genius Campaign Upload Service

      In DOS I tried this:

NET STOP Genius Campaign Upload Service

      and I got back this:

The syntax of this command is:

      NET STOP
      service

      C:\>

      Any suggestions?

        Re: net services

I figued it, as the service name contains spaces so it needs a set of quotation marks around it. The working command is

NET STOP "Genius Campaign Upload Service"
NET START "Genius Campaign Upload Service"

Thanks for your help in getting the service name
