  • Installing Exchange on VM problems (was jd)

Moving on from Cisco/Juniper, got new job Microsoft Admin, building virtual network on VMware workstation to practise SQL and Exchange, Got 4 server machines (2008r2) all running and connected to Domain controller, Server1 DC, Server2 DHCP, Server3 SQL, and Server4 is the exchange server, but will not connect to Active Directory, .framework 3.5 and filter pack have been sorted, and joined enterprise admin for user, but exchange will not see Active Directory and not fully install. Is this possible on virtulization, I'm new to Admin stuff, any help from you guys is appreciated.

    Kind Regards
    JD

Exchange can be installed on VMs without problems, but a clue which version you are using would help a bit

What do the setup logs show?

btw, I've edited the thread title to something meaningful

Make sure the server can communicate with the AD server.
