  • Voltage Error in VMware ESXi 5.1.0

    Thank you for your reply.

    I have this error in my virtual machine that I cannot solve. Could anybody know how to fix this? Thanks!
    Error messages were,
    System Board 0 P1V5_AUX_PWRGD - State asserted
    Warning
    System Board 0 P1V8_AUX_PWRGD - State asserted
    Warning
    Processor 2 P2_VCORE_PWRGD - State asserted

    I doubt it would be a VM throwing this error up. Possibly a host error.

    I'd start by checking the hardware of the affected system.

      Was this virtual machine a physical machine that you converted to a virtual machine? If so, did/does it have systems management or monitoring software from the manufacturer installed?

        Yes joeqwery, it is converted to VM, I use vsphere client to monitor this.
        I think its the host UCSU - C24-M3S has the error.
        I doubt how to check and troubleshoot the error message.

          It much more likely that there's no problem at all.

          You cannot (normally) use system management software in a VM to monitor physical hardware on the hypervisor host. The hardware simply cannot be accessed from inside a virtual domain.

          The server manufacturer may have an ESXi version of the management software (or at least an agent).

            Thanks! I Checked the bios of the UCS, theres no warning message but it is displayed in my Vsphere Client. See attachments.

              As i said this is a host issue not a VM issue.

              Check the hardware on the host system.

              Is the host hardware on the HCL?
