  • unable to view virtual machines in web client

    hi fellas,

i'm unable to view my virtual machines from the vsphere web client.

    Running:
    dell 2950: esxi 5
Virtual Machine Windows 2K8: that is my AD
Virtual Machine Windows 2K8: that is my vCenter Server

Vcenter server is registered. It has been setup to work with my active directory. I can login and out using my AD user and pass .. NO PROBLEM.

Login using web-client ... NO PROBLEM. When i login under summary i see:

    Virtual Machines 0
    Host 0

But when i login using the regular client, i'm able to see all my machines. WTF am i doing wrong?

Do you point your vSphere Client at the vCenter server? I take it that you have connected directly to the ESXi Host(s) as well? Can you let us know which method of connection you have the issue with?

Thank you Virtual. I owe you a pint mate.

I was connecting to the esxi server only and totally forgot that i have to connect to vCenter server instead. It works now.

      THANKS AGAIN.
