  • WorkStation 7.x and abnormal vmdk and vmem files

    hi

    I have a computer with Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate 64-bit and I installed WorkStation 7.x .

I created a virtual machine with XP Pro SP3 and I have used it for 4 months without problems.

Now, I realized that, whenever I power it on or I power it off, this VM creates a new vmdk file, logically filling my hard disk. Why this abnormal behavior?

Why the vmem files are very large and they have the same size?

    thanks

    bye

You have snapshot files which are your VMEM files.

Try deleting them using the Snapshot manager for the VM.
