  • where to find vsphere client?

I'm very new to VWMare and looking at an ESX Server 4 install that I'm testing. I hope to eventually move our SBS2008 install to such an environment.

EDIT: I believe I actually have the smaller foot print ESXi installed (not 3.x).

One of the main reason I had delayed in learning about VWMare (although I have experience with other low tech VM solutions (fusion, parallels, virtulbox, ect) is the website for WMware and all the products overwelming for a new guy.

I think I've finally figured out I should be testing ESX Server4 but cannot figure out how to manage and get the client OS on the server. It appears that I need Vsphere Client, is this correct?

When I go to the VMware download page it's just not apparent to me where this download options is. Can someone assist a newbie without scolding me on my ignorance

    Thanks.

Browse to the IP address of your ESX(i) host using a webbrowser.
There you'll find a download link for the vSphere Client.

Damn, now why wasn't that more obvious to me! I didn't even think to go to the web interface as everything referrs to the client software! thanks.

You should also be able to download it from VMware (which is where the link takes you) or install it from the vCenter disk.
