  • vMA - ESXi vilogger -l ERROR not logging anymore ?

    Hi All,

I'm having strange problem with the ESXi log in vMA 4.1 when i tried to view the log it was 2 weeks old eventhough the current date timestamp shows the latest or today date.

example from one of the failed ESXi hosts:
    Code:
    [[email protected] ~]$ vilogger list
    Target Server: ESXi02.domain.com
Log State Status CollectionPeriod NumRotation MaxFileSize Location
                                         (Seconds) (MegaBytes)
    hostd Enabled Failed 60 5 1024 /var/log/vmware/ESXi02.domain.com/hostd.log
    messages Enabled Failed 60 5 1024 /var/log/vmware/ESXi02.domain.com/messages.log
    vpxa Enabled Failed 60 5 1024 /var/log/vmware/ESXi02.domain.com/vpxa.log
    another diagnostic:
    Code:
[[email protected] esxupdate]$ vifp listservers -l
    ESXi1.domain.com ESXi fpauth
    ESXi2.domain.com ESXi fpauth
    ESXi3.domain.com ESXi fpauth
    ESXi4.domain.com ESXi fpauth

    [[email protected] vma]$ pwd
    /var/log/vmware/vma
how can i make the ESXi log in my vMA is the latest as possible or nearly realtime (eg. pushed from ESXi into vMA or pulled by vMA at regular time) ?

any kind of suggestion and help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.
Working...
