  • Virtual ESX host - networking advice needed

Hi I have a physical box with vSphere installed, I have installed a vCenter server and all works fine.

What I want to do for Lab purposes is setup a Virtual esx Host (rather than buy another physical one).

I have installed a VM (Linux .64) running vSphere 4.

My problem is that when I try to add in this host it will not add. Pings do not work between the Virtual ESX host and the vCenter and physical ESX host.

Can anyone give me advice on Network settings for the virtual ESX host, is this possible to do? Any articles that will help. Thanks in advance!
