  • windows 2008 on ESX 3.5 freezes

    Hi,

I have an issue with my windows 2008 web SP1 VMs on ESX 3.5.

Every few weeks the VM freezes. I can not connect to the VM (via RDP or VM Console) unless I reset it from the Management console.

When i press on the Summary Tab, the information I see is that VMtools are not active.

I have 2 windows 2008 web Sp1 VM on 2 diferent ESX 3.5 servers, and it happens in both of them.

After reseting the VM (not the ESX) all comes back and running.

    Nothing in the event logs.

    Your Help is appreciated.

    Thanks

Does anything show on the event logs on the VM?

I run ESX 4.0 and have 2 Web 2008 servers running 24/7 for about 6 months with no issues.

What Update of ESX 3.5 ?
What do you have set as the Operating System in the VM properties?
