    Hi ,

Recently I have install esxi 5.0 in my dell server and I install vsphere client in my win 7 machine. Now, as i am using it in my single system , I do not need to purchase the license...Is there any way to register the vsphere license , do i need to purchase the license or i just need to register it..

    Thanks..

        Why not ask VMware?

A single ESXi host with no vCenter Server is known as "vSphere Hypervisor", and is free.

But you still need a licence key to run in that mode - if you don't get one and run ESXi in evaluation mode it will only function fully for 60 days.
