  • DSA Logs on ESXi 4.0

    Hi Gems

I got one headache issue on one of my servers

one of the Esxi 4.0 server box showing Amber light, SO I have checked with local hardware team, they asked me to get DSA logs from that server

Iam wondering whether we can run the DSA on the ESXi 4.0, it seems like we need to run the DSA from unsupported command which will impacts the VMware will never supports us in future..

that server has RSA card, SO I can able to access the server through RSA only..

Can any body assist me how to get logs from the DSA.

Re: DSA Logs on ESXi 4.0

If you can take the system down run a bootable DSA. System boots to CD and installs nothing on the system. DSA claims to support VMware 4 so you should be able to run the portable DSA or installable DSA, but I think the portable and installable require IBM's ipmi drivers and OSA mapping layer drivers installed so that may be what VMware has an issue with.
