  • How to copy vmdk from running vm?

    Hi,

I would like to make a program in C# .net which will make a backup of a vm to local storage.
    I have 2 problems:
    1. How to find path to vmdk of VM? what command to use,
    2. how to copy vmdk from running VM??

If somebody is able to help me I will be appreciate.
    I'm using powerCLI.

    Regards
    Zbyszek

    vmware-cmd should help.

        That is correct.

I'm not a powercli guru but I'd start with get-vm and work from there.
