  • Can you create different subnets in vmware workstation?

I am currently using vmware workstation to compliment my study towards 70-640. I am following the trainsignal videos (very good!) but I have now got to the point of trying to simulate creating the child domain.

Is there a way to create different subnets within vmware workstation? I curently have 192.168.1.x for the main forest domain but want to create 192.168.2.x etc for the differnet childs.

    Any help would be great

Creating the different subnets is relatively easy - use the virtual network editor.

I order to route between the two subnets you will need a computer that is connected to both subnets with two NIC's that will act as your router

If you learn for Microsoft certs, i recommended to install as a routing server any microsoft product (win server router or even better isa from new generations).
You will familiarize with the technology for later cert.
