  • Lab Creation Question

So I've got two physical servers and want to put ESX3.5i on both. I'd like to then setup a couple of Windows machines in a domain (say...2 on each).

Of course, I need to separate these VMs from the production environment.

So the question is, with ESX, how can I separate the VMs from production, but make them visible to each other (over 2 physical machines)?

    Thanks.

    Re: Lab Creation Question

If your server has two network cards (which it should) then you can use one NIC to connect to your LAN for Management and the other connected with a cross-over cable to the second server

Add the VM's to the portgroup that will be on the second NIC

They will be able to talk to each other
